Review of Sarah Vibe-Petersens debut-cd:
On this cd Sarah Vibe-Petersen carries on the artistic passion of her saxophone playing, in a brilliant manner, with pianist Cathrine Penderup. This dynamic duo has adopted the name Duo Saxifraga. This ensemble has an intuitive connection in their performances that creates an electric excitement.
This is a superb performance for alto saxophone and piano.
There is a lovely give and take between the two artists allowing the charm of the piece to overtake the listener’s imagination.
The Duo Saxifraga deserves a standing ovation for this remarkable cd.

Review of concert held in Steingraeber House, Bayreuth (with Tobias van der Pals, cello):
h(Leopold) van der Pals was very productive. In the archive at Goetheanum (...) lies piles of compositions; among these are the here mentioned cello works. They sound impressionistic, late romantic, dramatically moving and melancholic out in the hall. Van der Pals was an authentic representative of the early modernism, whose extensive melodies and rumbling harmonies still attracts the listener.
Tobias van der Pals and Cathrine Penderup are the ideal interpreters of this complete mixture of construction and emotion: when the pianist caresses the keys, the cellist evokes the most delicate, fragile, actually moving sound from his magnificent instrument.h

Reviews of the solo cd with works by Emil Hartmann:
Cathrine Penderup spielt die Werke Hartmanns differenziert, mit hellem, im Diskant leuchtendem Ton.
Gregor Willmes, Fono Forum april 2014
Cathrine Penderup er ude i feltarbejde med sin fordybelse i Hartmanns samlede klaverværker og er en glimrende ambassadør for denne miniaturekunst.

The easy-going charm of Emil Hartmann’s piano music is brought to life very warmly by Cathrine Penderup in this Danacord twofer……... Of the other pieces I’d particularly point to the Four Piano Pieces, Op. 31 which are both deft and delightful, not least the Canzonetta, which could be an encore piece if pianists only but knew it. Perhaps Penderup’s splendid playing will encourage some of them to take it up.

Reviews of the cd for piano four hands with Tonya Lemoh:
De to pianisters særdeles nødvendige samarbejde kommer dog allerbedst til udtryk i Brahms’ ”Seksten små valse op. 39”. Veloplagt danser de tyve fingre hen over tangenterne, holder sig høfligt tilbage, tager en ordentlig svingom, puster lidt ud, og så et lille kniks til tak.
Mikael Krarup, Fyens Stifttidende
I enjoyed this CD of works for four hands on one piano. Each piece is beautifully played and skilfully interpreted. The sound quality is excellent as is to be expected from Danacord and the liner-notes give a good introduction to each work. I look forward to hearing this talented duo in the future.
